Route Description
Start Seaton Burn Services. Take left at roundabout onto A1068. Up to next roundabout take A192 to Morpeth.
Over river, turn right onto A197. At roundabout take B1337 to Widdrington Station. At roundabout first left back onto A1068. Over A1 at roundabout. Take B6346 to Alnwick and through arch to square on right. Stop for tea.
About turn left and back onto B6346 to junction (Alnwick gardens) B1340.
At Bamburgh road changes to B1342 to A1. Cross to Belford B6349. Follow until you get to left junction sign-posted Yetholm B6351. Straight on to T-junction. Turn left for Jedburgh.
Stay on B6401 to T-junction. Turn left onto A698 Jedburgh. Follow signs to Jedburgh. (Petrol stop and lunch break.)
Turn right out of car park and head down A68 to right turn sign-posted Bonchaster Bridge (B6357). After approximately 3 miles the road goes round to right but you go straight on (there is a White House on left as a marker) unclassified road to Chester.
At junction go straight on to the A6088. Follow road to A68. Turn right and follow to Otterburn. Stop at Otterburn Mill for coffee.
Back out of there, turn right back on B6320 to crossroads. Turn left on to A68. Stay on road to sign for Knowesgate were you turn left on unclassified road to the A698 and Ponteland. At roundabout turn left and take the turn on right (Berwick Hill Road). At T-junction turn right back to Seaton Burn Services. (158 miles.)
