A ride up past Kielder Water into the Scottish Boarders where we will do some cattle rustling, pillage and tea drinking before heading for the coast and back home via Alnwick.
Although this ride is not particularly high mileage, some of the roads in the Borders are rough and narrow so progress will be slow on the Bonchester Bridge to Wooler section.
Route Description
Depart Seaton Burn services.
Kielder Castle. (Fuel stop for those with small tanks. The next fuel will be in another 58 miles.) (60 miles.)
Continue north to Bonchester Bridge. (78 miles.)
Continue East through Chesters, Oxnam, Morebattle, Yetholm and Akeld to Wooler. (Fuel stop.) (118 miles.)
Wooler to Alnwick.
Arrive Alnwick. Those who wish to return via A1 can do so from here. (136 miles.)
Depart Alnwick and return to Newcastle via B6341 and A697.
Arrive Seaton Burn services. (176 miles.)
