Route Description
Depart Seaton Burn towards Tyne Tunnel.
Coffee – A19 Services (BP petrol if required). (32 miles.)
Continue South on A19 over River Tees A171/A174 turn off for Whitby.
Continue on A171 Guisborough by-pass.
Climb ‘Birke Brow’ onto North Yorks Moors.
Turn right at Lockwood Beck Reservoir on road to Castleton. (56 miles)
Pass ‘Ralph’s Cross’ and The Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge.
Turn right down steep hill to hamlet of Church Houses. (66 miles.)
Lunch at Faversham Arms, Daffy Café or packed lunch by the River Dove.
Continue onto Blakey Ridge and village of Hutton-le-Hole.
On entering village turn sharp left to Lastingham then Lealholm. (80 miles.)
Turn left on A171 for 2 miles then turn right to Ugthorpe.
Continue to Lythe then turn left on A174. (90 miles.)
Pass through Boulby, Staithes, Loftus and Brotton.
Arrive at Saltburn-by-the-Sea (tea, coffee, ice cream and pertrol). (115 miles.)
Continue on A174 towards A19 Northbound.
Ride ends – Easington Services (Shell garage). (150 miles.)
